Your RoleAs an Engineering Project Leader at Aptiv, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and drive engineering excellence. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and executing design reviews and peer reviews to ensure project completeness and compliance with PDP process.
- Managing technical risk registers, identifying risks, and developing contingency plans.
- Ensuring design for manufacturability (DFA, DFM) and approving start/stop/change/signoff of engineering activity on project/component level work packages.
- Evaluating and managing internal and customer technical change requests, including technical change estimation and presentation of PCE impact.
- Closing PCRs and VIRs as requested, developing and maintaining compliant engineering deliverables timing, and monitoring engineering execution against standard work and best practices.
- Coordinating and delivering product solution handovers to customers at milestones, participating in Big Room Planning, Program Iteration (PI) Demo, and Program Iteration (PI) Retro.
- Providing engineering budget input for BBP cycle, owning collection, consolidation, and agreement to engineering spend against approved engineering budget, and responsible for BOM cost and stretch.
- Working with competency leads and/or engineering program leaders to identify and fulfill staffing assignments for engineering projects.
