Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing engineering documentation as necessary (including manufacturing changes, parameter sheets, validation documentation, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the validation technical team to coordinate activities effectively
  • Assist in initiatives aimed at process enhancement
  • Deliver regular updates on assigned tasks through daily and weekly progress reports
  • Propose and implement projects focused on process improvement to boost productivity across production lines
  • Identify and mitigate variations and waste within the welding processes
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts in welding operations
  • Conduct internal audits in accordance with CQI15 standards for laser and friction welding processes

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Metallurgy Engineering
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools
  • Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (such as Green Belt, Black Belt, Red X, etc.)
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Mechanical Desktop, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.)
  • Experience in mechanical/tooling design and assembly
  • Understanding of technical drawings and tolerances
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Word, SharePoint)
  • Desirable knowledge of PLC systems
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking) at an 80% level
