Job Summary:
The Senior Field Service Engineer will provide technical support to customers for installations, repairs, and training of ESAB's CNC Cutting Machine Products. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel frequently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and train customers on CNC Cutting Machine Products.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions, and repair problems.
- Write technical reports describing malfunctions and deviations from design specifications.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on customer's machines.
- Communicate and troubleshoot with customers, programmers, engineers, technicians, and production personnel to resolve problems.
- Make timely travel arrangements to accommodate customer needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or 2-3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to speak fluent English.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional and technical journals, and governmental regulations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Domestic travel required 100% and some international travel.
