Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Operations and Process Engineer to join our team at Lexmark International, Inc. as a key member of our manufacturing engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement manufacturing engineering plans and projects, ensuring quality requirements and testing and troubleshooting systems are met.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, providing leadership and direction to ensure safety, quality, and productivity metrics are achieved.
- Plan and implement daily workflow and production activities to optimize cost efficiency.
- Establish and maintain a production reporting system to track delivery and productivity status.
- Manage labor reporting, ensure proper material controls and transactions, and maintain good housekeeping within the facility.
- Coordinate with engineering services for release of approved documents and implement changes in a cost-effective manner.
- Provide analysis and make recommendations for quality, cost, and capacity issues, and initiate and follow through on corrective actions.
- Develop and sustain programs to minimize absenteeism and turnover, and provide support for future process expansion.
- Assist in start-up activities and have authority to approve procedures impacting assembly, quality, etc., via established processes.
- Participate and support Operational Excellence projects and/or initiatives, such as Lean and Six Sigma.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar position.
- BS in Engineering Discipline.
- Knowledge of ergonomic principles, personnel management, Microsoft Office, and Lean Manufacturing tools.
- Bilingual English-Spanish skills.
