Job Summary:
Ocmc is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team in Apodaca. As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and introduction of new products, encompassing the design, detailing, and testing of parts, assemblies, and products to meet market needs and product development guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, lead, and contribute to projects that include design, development, rebuilding, cost savings, product improvements, or documentation for new and existing electromechanical products.
- Execute the requirements of the New Product Development process, including system/product design, Engineering Change Notices, Safety Reviews, project phase reviews, build and test, and final release.
- Develop and collaborate in the definition of verification and validation processes according to country regulatory and standards.
- Identify and manage technical and project risks.
- Review project designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and related specifications, while supporting the manufacturing and assembly process definition.
- Perform analysis (tolerance, structural, and/or thermal) to ensure the adequate performance, quality, and reliability of the product.
- Lead and support Failure Mode and Effect Analysis.
- Design and detail parts and assemblies in Parametric CAD, aligned to marketing specifications, performance requirements, and safety standards.
- Create bills of material for products and enter product data into manufacturing systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial).
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the full cycle of complex new product development projects.
- Experience with Parametric CAD (Solidworks preferable).
- 20%+ travel availability (Valid Passport & USA Visa).
- Master's in Science is a plus.
