About the Role

Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail. As a Windows System Engineer, you will be part of our IT Infrastructure Team, responsible for supporting the Americas teams, delivering impactful projects, and consistently improving processes for Wabtec.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the installation, configuration, and operation of the Windows server environment, providing in-depth technical expertise to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve unique or complex problems.
  • Monitor and optimize server infrastructure performance and ensure security in a high availability environment.
  • Participate in the application of security patches and updates to firmware & operating systems.
  • Collaborate effectively and be a strong team player.
  • Keep abreast of new tools and technologies while taking part in the evaluation and recommendations for new or enhanced capabilities to improve current platforms.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
  • 6+ years of experience as a Windows System Engineer.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with Citrix, Hyper V, and ESX environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% Yearly.
  • Willingness to work all hours across different time zones globally, primarily US Eastern time zone.
  • Fluent English.

Work Environment

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. There may be some visits to Wabtec's Datacenters which have specific sounds and environmental temperature considerations.
