Senior Sourcing Manager – Chillers Product Division
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Senior Sourcing Manager to lead a team of 6 procurement specialists in driving growth and profitability for our Chillers Product Division. You will play a crucial role in the leadership team of the division, reporting directly to the Director of Procurement. Your focus will be on delivering innovative sourcing solutions while fostering a high-performance team culture in a rapidly expanding business.
Your Approach:
Embrace a Growth Mindset: Identify and cultivate new sourcing opportunities aimed at business expansion and category growth. Champion Continuous Improvement: Encourage a growth-oriented mindset within your team, promoting supplier innovation and ongoing improvement initiatives. Build Strong Partnerships: Establish and maintain robust relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, showcasing high emotional intelligence and effective communication skills. Lead a High-Performing Team: Mentor and develop a team of 6 procurement specialists, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment. Develop and Implement Sourcing Strategy: Collaborate with the division's leadership team to define and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that optimize spending within the approximately $1 billion annual budget. Manage Comprehensive NPI Support: Provide thorough sourcing support for new product introductions within the division. Conduct Strategic Negotiations: Achieve optimal pricing, terms, and quality through strategic negotiations with key suppliers. Drive Operational Excellence: Ensure team adherence to established sourcing processes and engage in continuous improvement efforts. Enhance Team Capabilities: Advocate for ongoing education for your team to improve their effectiveness and strengthen supplier relationships. Promote Sustainable Practices: Identify and implement sustainable sourcing practices within the global supply chain.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field; an MBA is advantageous. A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in a multinational organization. At least 6 years of experience in a Strategic Sourcing role, preferably with Direct Materials. Proven success in leading and developing high-performing teams within a matrix environment. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to navigate ambiguity and complex situations. Familiarity with SAP or other equivalent ERP systems. Experience in negotiating complex supply contracts. Willingness to travel up to 10% globally and domestically.Johnson Controls does not request pregnancy or HIV testing as a requirement for admission, permanence, or promotion.
