Job Summary

Lear Corporation, a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a highly skilled Customs Director to join our team. As a key member of our global operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable, efficient, and compliant movement of goods across international borders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage customs operations processes to ensure strict compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Advise upper management on customs laws, regulations, and compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement operational adjustments and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of customs procedures, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Provide expert guidance on customs-related matters to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field is an asset.
  • Proficiency in computer package management and ERP systems (SAP, QAD, etc.).
  • Experience in similar positions, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of US Customs, C-TPAT, and AEO Programs procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
