Lear Corporation, a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a highly skilled Customs Director to join our team. As a key member of our global operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable, efficient, and compliant movement of goods across international borders.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage customs operations processes to ensure strict compliance with laws and regulations.
- Advise upper management on customs laws, regulations, and compliance risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement operational adjustments and ensure compliance.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of customs procedures, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Provide expert guidance on customs-related matters to internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Master's degree in a related field is an asset.
- Proficiency in computer package management and ERP systems (SAP, QAD, etc.).
- Experience in similar positions, preferably in the automotive sector.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of US Customs, C-TPAT, and AEO Programs procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
