About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our Structures Engineering organization at Collins Aerospace. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing components and systems for aircraft nacelles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detail and assembly design for aircraft components using CATIA V5 and Enovia.
- Create drawings and model-based definition for engineering models and drawings.
- Release engineering models and drawings through our internal PLM system.
- Support the resolution of design problems, producibility improvements, and engineering changes.
- Collaborate in continuous improvement activities and interact with global teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronic, or related field).
- 1-2 years of product design experience.
- Design experience in Engine Build Up, Thrust-Reverser, Fan Cowl, or Inlet components highly desired.
- Ability to create models for aircraft components using CATIA V5.
- Proficiency with Enovia and Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T.
- Ability to code in Visual Basic or similar.
- Good communication and presentation skills to collaborate with global teams.
- English language proficiency (Advanced).
- Travel Visa to enter the USA for training and Lean Events participation.
