Strategic Consumer Sales Manager for Global Growth

The Senior Group Manager leads multiple teams, overseeing the consumer sales function through effective management and strategy execution. In-depth understanding of how their sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function is essential.
A thorough knowledge of the industry, competitors' products and services, is necessary to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.
Requires a comprehensive understanding of strategic direction within the relevant part of the business, combined with practical grounding in both the function and related subject areas.
Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level, and some external communication may be necessary.
Responsible for executing functional strategy in the managed area, determining the approach to implementing functional strategy, and being accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation, and contribution to future strategy.
Impact reflects the size of the team managed, strategic influence on the business, and interaction with other functions or businesses.
This role involves full management responsibility for multiple teams, including people management, budgeting, and planning. Duties include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and budget approval.
This manager typically reports directly to a C16 role and functions as an integral member of the functional leadership team within a country/location, job family, or line of business.
Key Responsibilities:- Provides overall leadership and management of the consumer sales function, developing strategies and detailed business plans.
- Works with key stakeholders to create and manage reliable and predictable processes that improve end-to-end turnaround times and increase client satisfaction.
- Aligns capabilities, captures synergies, and resolves conflicts in setting standards.
- Ensures harmonization of common standards across businesses.
- Identifies opportunities to leverage capabilities across businesses.
- Works in partnership with geographic leadership to establish and document the global standard Common Operating Model for lending processes.
- Serves as the global subject matter expert for functionality, business, and process-related expertise.
- Gathers and shares best practices from internal/external sources for the development and deployment of lending workflow systems.
- Communicates changes, coordinating with the Global team, Regional Heads, and other stakeholders.
- Tracks progress and compliance, particularly during the initial implementation phase.
- Develops a timely, factual, and transparent communication process between delivery units and relationship sales units - jointly with Risk and Technology.
- Works with regional management teams to develop organizational plans, budgets, and financial controls to meet strategic plans and objectives.
- Ensures the organization adheres to internal control policies and follows regulatory, legal, and governmental regulations.
- Appropriately assesses risk when making business decisions, considering the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
- 15+ years of management experience in banking, with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Direct experience in lending process management and workflow lending/credit systems.
- Cross-border project or business management experience.
- Highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, communicate them clearly, and ensure resources are properly aligned.
This role requires a strong background in banking and lending process management, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.
An estimated salary for this position ranges between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
