The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for conducting credit reviews, credit approval and monitoring the portfolio to identify credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team. The overall objective of this role is to manage Citigroup's portfolio exposure to clients and counterparties globally.
This position requires a deep understanding of credit risk, internal policies and procedures, as well as industry fundamentals that impact the portfolio. The ideal candidate should be able to assess the credit and financial strength of complex Large Corporate Clients by performing fundamental credit analysis using both quantitative and qualitative factors.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assess the creditworthiness of clients and provide recommendations for credit approval or denial.
- Monitor the portfolio to identify potential credit risks and escalate issues to the Credit Risk Team Leads.
- Collaborate with ICG Risk and BCMA partners to implement credit assessment and monitoring standards.
- Support the development of risk management strategies and initiatives.
- Travel (less than 10%).
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in credit risk management or banking.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial risk analytics.
- Ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
