We are seeking a talented Mechanical Systems Drafter to join our team at Smiths Group. As a Mechanical Systems Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and designs for mechanical systems, including wet seal systems.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Creating detailed drawings and designs for mechanical systems using 3D CAD software.
- Working with engineers to develop and execute production of engineering drawings.
- Coordinating work into drafting and completing the initial checking review of finished documents.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.
- 2 to 5 years of related experience at designing pressure vessels, heat exchangers or piping systems. Also, must have experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, such as Solid Edge or SolidWorks.
- Aptitude for problem-solving to include the ability to gather, correlate and present statistical data for review and use by an engineer or other parties toward the completion of an assigned project.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.
- 2 to 5 years of related experience at designing pressure vessels, heat exchangers or piping systems. Also, must have experience in a manufacturing environment.
