**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at Acuity Brands Lighting, Inc. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will be responsible for improving die casting operations within our facility.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee and manage the die casting process from initial design through production, ensuring that casting processes meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional teams for process improvement projects, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Close training gaps within the team, design and develop molds, dies, and tooling for die casting operations, and collaborate with toolmakers and designers to optimize tooling for efficiency and quality.
- Select appropriate metal alloys for die casting based on product requirements, optimize casting parameters to improve productivity and reduce defects, and ensure all designs meet budgetary requirements.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in die casting operations, including process design, tooling development, and quality management.
- Strong knowledge of metal alloys, casting principles, and manufacturing processes, proficiency in CAD software for die and mold design, and familiarity with quality management systems and statistical process control techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot process issues effectively, project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
