Job Description

At Te Connectivity, we are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our Product Management Team. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the development and launch of new products, as well as managing the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Sensing & Strategy Development
    • Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape
    • Conduct market segmentation exercises to develop market segment-specific strategies
    • Responsible for competitive analysis and benchmarking
    • Define segment-specific value propositions that beat the competition
    • Develop product roadmaps that align with business strategy
    • Design go-to-market strategy, inclusive of channel strategy and partnerships
    • Work with R&D and operations to develop new products to meet current and future customer requirements
    • Manage the product lifecycle
  • Market Sensing & Strategy Development
    • Define resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmap
    • Work cross-functionally to define sales, technology, and operations strategies and goals in line with financial goals
    • Establish pricing policy
    • Develop the annual operating plan (GPL Sales and gross or standard margin)
  • Execution: New Product Development launch
    • Be the opportunity champion for PAC projects
    • Plan product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans
    • Provide demand forecast inputs to S&OP
    • Attend customer meetings in support of winning new business
    • Provide inputs to Marcom for the development of collateral, including e-commerce
  • Execution: Post Launch Product Management
    • Manage the P&L (sales and gross margin) for the assigned portfolio
    • Deliver sustained profitable growth
    • Enable sales to promote product line via training and the development of collateral materials that help articulate the value proposition
    • Manage special pricing requests
    • Be the champion for resolution of product issues (e.g., quality, delivery, etc.)
    Requirements
    • Education
      • BS in Engineering or Business
      • MBA or MS is preferred
    • Experience
      • 5+ years combining experiences in Product Management, Sales, Strategy, Procurement, or R&D
      • Strong knowledge in the Automotive industry is preferred
      • Multi-Region Experience is preferred
    • Additional Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Requisites
      • Fluent in English
      • Clear strategic thinker with vision and ability to execute on priorities
      • Team-oriented working style with a proven track record in organization and planning skills
      • Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels
      • Excellent communication and presentation skills
      • Ability to effectively work under pressure to meet challenging targets
      • Demonstrated technical and commercial mindset
      • High flexibility to work with global teams
