Overview

As a Storage Systems Engineer, you will provide critical support to our L2 teams by performing daily storage management tasks and offering recommendations for effective storage system utilization. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our storage environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, manage, maintain, and document Storage environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Develop and review change procedures for Storage environments to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations.
  • Resolve performance, security, and reliability issues with Storage environments through expert analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Migrate storage from End-of-Life (EOSL) to new arrays, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption.
  • Configure and support EMC and Pure Storage environments, leveraging your expertise to optimize system performance.
  • Develop and manage monitoring systems and tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with EMC and Pure Storage Hardware and Software.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco MDS switches.
  • Working knowledge of EMC Avamar/Data Domain and Commvault backup solutions.
  • Knowledge of high availability / DR solutions.
  • Experience with various operating systems (AIX, Solaris, VMware, RHEL).
  • Experience with System Security, network design, Linux and Windows systems, and VMware.
  • Knowledge of Oracle DB and scripting languages (Perl, Shell).
