About the Role

Flywire is a global payments enablement and software company, delivering high-stakes, high-value payments across the global education, healthcare, travel and B2B industries.

We're seeking a highly skilled Payment Operations Specialist to join our team, responsible for successfully processing growing volumes of international and domestic payments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Verify beneficiary account details to ensure accuracy and adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and internal policies.
  2. Work closely with payment partners and banks to identify and resolve payment issues promptly.
  3. Identify and report processing inefficiencies and help to resolve.
  4. Review, improve and maintain payment formatting rules to reduce payment issues.
  5. Collaborate with the Compliance team to review and improve internal policies to reduce friction in the AML process.
  6. Communicate with payers directly to resolve issues and prevent delays.
Requirements
  1. Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, with an interest in financial services or operations.
  2. Deadline-focused with strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  3. Fluent English and Spanish, written and spoken, with other languages an advantage.
  4. Possess a willingness and eagerness to learn.
  5. Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Excellent analytical and computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and other online tools.
  7. Passion for problem-solving and helping customers.
  8. Highly effective communication skills.
  9. A positive, can-do attitude, motivated to drive ongoing, continuous improvement.
  10. Experience in finance, banking operations or transactional reconciliation is an advantage.
