Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data architectures for our customers, leveraging our cloud-based services such as AWS Data services.
About the Role
This is a customer-facing role, requiring strong communication and leadership skills. You will work closely with our customers to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet their business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data architectures for our customers, leveraging AWS Data services such as Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Amazon EMR, and Amazon Redshift.
- Collaborate with our customers to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet their business requirements.
- Lead data architecture and data engineering teams to deliver project implementations successfully.
- Participate in pre-sales visits, understanding customer requirements, and creating packaged Data & Analytics service offerings.
- Engage with the customer's business and technology stakeholders to create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise in their environment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of technical specialist, design, and architecture experience.
- 5+ years of database experience (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis).
- 7+ years of consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience.
- 5+ years of software development with object-oriented language experience.
- 3+ years of cloud-based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network, and operating system experience.
- 7+ years of external or internal customer-facing, complex, and large-scale project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Teradata systems.
