Job Title: Measurements Technician

Corning is a leading innovator in materials science, and we're seeking a skilled Measurements Technician to join our team.

As a Measurements Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical duties and activities, including experimental procedures, data collection, and analysis. You will work closely with engineers to resolve customer complaints and improve manufacturing yields.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute measurements requests from production issues.
  • Develop and document testing methods for inspection standardization.
  • Communicate results and requirements to all levels of partners.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, including management of dimensional reports.
Requirements:
  • English language proficiency (write and read).
  • High school technical degree or professional degree in mechanical, electronic, or mechatronic engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Skills:
  • Strong management and programming skills for CMM using Calypso software and Zone3/Measure mind.
  • Knowledge of GD&T.
  • Data analysis skills for statistical studies.
  • Uncertainty estimation and statistical knowledge (SPC).
  • Knowledge of Minitab.
