Job Title: Lead Design Engineer

Belcan is seeking a highly skilled Lead Design Engineer to join our team in Querétaro, Mexico. As a Lead Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design of component and systems for Turbomachinery technology, including hardware such as brackets, ducts, tubes, hoses, and harnesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design of component and systems for Turbomachinery technology
  • Implement product definition criteria in accordance with requirements for commercial attributes associated with producibility/manufacturability of the component
  • Manage and maintain projects in priority status as assigned by program management
  • Communicate project status and progress to both internal program management team and customer
  • Monitor and report progress against project schedule by monitoring activities and resolving problems to ensure that customer Project Milestones are met
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
  • Three or more years of engineering experience in the field of gas turbine engines or turbomachinery, specialty on Engine externals design and/or analysis
  • Ability to write technical reports and correspondence including customer reports
  • Ability to read part prints and interpret GD&T is desired
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with TeamCenter is desired
