Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Cybersecurity Uruguay. This role will oversee the cybersecurity operations in Uruguay, providing strategic direction and tactical assistance to ensure the country's cybersecurity services are industry-leading.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with a minimum of 7-12 years of experience in risk management, cybersecurity, and IT job roles. They will be responsible for collaborating with global, regional, and country stakeholders to implement cybersecurity goals within entity policy, expense, and regulatory constraints.

Main Responsibilities

  • Directly oversee cybersecurity for Uruguay and indirectly oversee through country-aligned teams in LAM.
  • Collaborate with global, regional, and country stakeholders to implement cybersecurity goals.
  • Lead and support peers in developing, implementing, and monitoring a strategic, comprehensive enterprise cybersecurity management program.
  • Assist group/region with overall business technology planning.
  • Contribute to the cybersecurity strategy of the group, region, and countries in scope.
  • Provide cybersecurity-related training sessions to improve awareness levels of staff members.
  • Assist business stakeholders and 2LoD across countries in scope to raise awareness of risk management concerns.
  • Support business for in-country-specific initiatives and regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity.

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration or a technology-related field required.
  • Professional security management certification desired (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, etc.).
  • Knowledge of common information security management frameworks and best practices (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001, GASSP, NIST, etc.).
  • Minimum of 7-12 years of experience in a combination of risk management, cybersecurity, and IT job roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence senior executives.
  • Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in multiple technical disciplines and applicable security/risk concepts and methodologies.
  • Previous experience in developing and implementing information security strategies and projects.
