We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Cardinal Health. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Replenish inventories of raw materials to meet production demands.
- Execute the planning cycle in accordance with corporate guidelines to ensure efficient procurement processes.
- Provide exceptional internal and external customer service to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Develop and implement purchase programs in conjunction with the Operation Planner to optimize raw material procurement.
- Expedite, cancel, and manage purchase orders to meet changing demand requirements.
- Initiate and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials.
- Collaborate with the Operation Planner to develop and implement projection and recovery plans to ensure optimal raw material levels.
- Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives to optimize procurement processes.
- Monitor and manage raw material levels to ensure compliance with corporate goals and objectives.
- Communicate raw material inventory levels to all relevant stakeholders and coordinate Phase in/Phase out activities to ensure minimal disruption to production.
- Direct and prioritize the sourcing area to address any rejections in the incoming inspection process.
- Ensure that lot sizes calculated by sourcing align with inventory strategies to optimize procurement processes.
- Comply with all necessary security measures to prevent accidents, occupational diseases, and environmental contingencies within the company.
