At Te Connectivity, our Strategic Sourcing Teams play a crucial role in developing and implementing multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers, and services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price, and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management, and functional owners to drive business growth and excellence.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Coordinate purchasing activities with facilities coordinators, manufacturing, and engineering departments to ensure alignment and support operations.
• Gather quotations, examine bids, and make awards to ensure best value for the company.
• Perform cost analysis and volume planning for facilities commodities to optimize procurement strategies.
• Evaluate vendor reliability, develop new supply sources where required, and monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to ensure best quality at best value.
• Recommend cost-saving proposals, including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria, to drive business efficiency.
• Provide guidance and review to less experienced buyers to ensure knowledge transfer and development.
**Requirements:**
• Bachelor's Degree required
• 3-5 years of purchasing, supply chain, engineering, or technical management experience
• Project management knowledge and background in handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Strong communication and intercultural skills, ability to adapt and work with team members in various countries/cultures
• Ability to negotiate with key internal stakeholders and management team
• Knowledge of facilities services is a plus (facility construction/maintenance, janitorial, security, and cafeteria services among others)
• SAP knowledge is a plus
• Travel up to 25% of time, some international travel involved
