Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, we're building a world-class Global Trade Services organization, and we're looking for a skilled Global Trade Services Analyst III to support trade operations and compliance within our Aerospace, Defense, and Marine (AD&M) division.

As a trusted advisor and key liaison, you'll engage with internal AD&M stakeholders and GTS colleagues to facilitate compliance with international transfers of both tangible and intangible goods and services. Your primary focus will be on trade compliance for items covered by a US export authorization, with close coordination with US key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain trade operations and compliance activities following TE policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Act as a key point of contact for AD&M stakeholders on licensing and compliance trade-related matters.
  • Engage BU stakeholders to comprehend business changes and develop trade-related proposals to the AD&M Compliance team for solutions/strategies and controls to ensure compliance.
  • Support AD&M level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations under specific Trade related authorizations.
  • Partner with Trade Compliance Professionals and Stakeholders in Mexico and the U.S.
  • Partner with GTS Colleagues to monitor trade compliance regulatory and legislative changes, assess the potential impact on AD&M, and find the necessary actions and communications to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Work with GTS AD&M Americas Compliance team to conduct trade compliance audits and oversee corrective action plans.
  • Partner with GTS AD&M Americas Compliance team to develop and manage effective trade compliance training as required throughout Mexico and AD&M.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal functions, including corporate functions, to encourage awareness of global trade compliance issues, proactively identify trade risks and threats, and develop appropriate trade compliance controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in international business, supply chain, law, or a related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in global trade authorization management, 5+ years' experience supporting trade functions generally.
  • Preferred: 5+ years' experience in supporting trade functions within an aerospace, defense, or similar business.
  • Familiarity with customs practices in Mexico and IMMEX programs.
  • Proven ability to work with a variety of business groups, including supply chain, legal, procurement, and finance.
  • Ability to foster teamwork and internal and external relationships.
  • Excellent organizational habits and priority management.
