About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director to lead our Database Services team on the AWS cloud platform. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cloud services, particularly databases, to drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud-based database solutions using AWS services such as RDS, DynamoDB, and Redshift.
  • Develop and maintain pipelines using Jenkins, Terraform, Chef, and other automation build tools to ensure efficient and scalable database operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and architect teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Lead the development of multiple pipelines, from requirement gathering to handoff, to ensure timely delivery of required features.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of database operations and provide regular updates on project progress.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of database operations and procedures.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of experience in database administration and cloud computing, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps engineer.
  • Expert-level experience with AWS cloud platform, particularly with database services such as RDS, DynamoDB, and Redshift.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent English language skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong working experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Chef, and other automation build tools.
  • Familiarity with code repositories such as Bitbucket.
  • Ability to lead the development of multiple pipelines, from requirement gathering to handoff.
