Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Systems Engineer to join our team at Knorr Bremse Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electromechanical systems for commercial vehicles in North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechatronic systems for commercial vehicles, including research, prototyping, analysis, testing, and release.
  • Follow market trends and emerging technologies for ZEV systems, identifying and evaluating new technologies, construction methods, and materials.
  • Develop product FMEA and coordinate product validation and tracking through DVP&R.
  • Test and validate electromechanical systems, developing and optimizing designs in 3D CAD software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including test engineers, systems engineers, and customers, to document system requirements and test results.
  • Develop technical documentation for products and interface with customers and management to communicate project status.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
  • 6+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or 5+ years of related experience with a master's degree.
  • Prior experience in the automotive or commercial vehicle industry is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to conceptualize and create mechanical designs based on limited inputs.
  • Proficiency in using modeling CAD design software and experience with additive manufacturing.
