Position Overview:

The Level 2 Security Operations Center (SOC) Engineer will be responsible for supporting global security technology solutions and executing essential security functions such as vulnerability management, threat assessment, security surveillance, and incident management.

This role acts as a versatile technical resource in projects aimed at enhancing the security framework and operational protocols.

The engineer will stay updated on emerging technologies and pinpoint opportunities to recommend enhancements to TD SYNNEX's Cyber Protection, detection, and response capabilities.

Key responsibilities include evaluating existing security protocols and procedures across all regions where TD SYNNEX operates, identifying vulnerabilities, and swiftly addressing potential security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Continuous support and upgrades for TD SYNNEX's global security technology suite (30%)
  • Implementing core security functions such as vulnerability management, threat assessment, security monitoring, incident management, and identity/access management (40%)
  • Conducting health assessments and compliance evaluations, generating regular KPI reports for management (20%)
  • Enhancing process automation and orchestration (10%)
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Familiarity with Palo Alto Networks (N1 or N2) is preferred.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Effective communication skills to convey necessary information clearly.
  • Strong multicultural interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a commitment to completing tasks.
  • Ability to work constructively under pressure and manage high workloads and deadlines.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Additional Certifications:
  • Relevant Security & Technology Certifications or equivalent proven experience.
Work Environment:
  • Occasional non-standard hours or overtime may be required based on business needs.
  • On-call availability may be necessary.
  • Currently a remote position, with potential for hybrid work in the future.
