Job Summary

As a key member of the FedEx team, the Operations Handler plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery and pickup of packages. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Package Handling: Ensures that packages are properly labeled, wrapped, and prepared for delivery or pickup.
  • Documentation and Administration: Completes necessary paperwork, including airway bills, delivery records, and vehicle condition reports, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Customer Service: Provides excellent customer service by responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and seeking additional business opportunities.
  • Safety and Security: Ensures compliance with FedEx safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and reports any safety concerns or incidents.
  • Vehicle Operations: Operates company vehicles safely and efficiently, performs basic vehicle maintenance, and ensures that vehicles are properly fueled and equipped.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Experience operating ramp and warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Skills: Basic English skills, ability to lift 70 lbs, and to maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
  • Certifications: Must be able to successfully complete the Basic Skills Test, including Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and Math sections.
