Role Purpose:

GKN Automotive is actively seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Accounting (FI) Business Analyst with expertise in Finance accounting processes. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our transformation journey moving from multiple ERP platforms and connected systems to a single SAP S/4HANA ERP system in all GKN Automotive plants.

As a key decision maker on process designs within the Finance accounting (FI), you will ensure that business requirements are met while supporting the overall objectives of the program and adhering to SAP best practices. You will actively champion the standardization and simplification of processes across the GKN organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP S/4HANA Implementation: Facilitate workshops to provide the overall finance requirements that includes GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting and Profit center accounting for the accurate solution design.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize end-to-end GKN Finance accounting processes, leveraging both SAP S/4HANA FI functionalities for maximum efficiency. Collaborate closely with GKN Finance accounting stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into integrated SAP S/4HANA FI solutions. Advise Finance business stakeholders and actively promote industry best practices.
  • Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Elicit, document, and manage business requirements. Ensure all the aspects of the business processes are mentioned in the documentation to enable the right solution design.
  • SAP S/4HANA FI Integration: Lead efforts to integrate SAP S/4HANA FI solutions seamlessly, ensuring data consistency and optimal end-to-end Finance accounting operations.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and integrity of Finance accounting-related SAP S/4HANA FI solutions through thorough testing and validation. Supporting the Testing process and communicating the defects/issues to the implementation team for the resolution.
  • Training Support: Support the training material preparation, review, and approval. Act as a key point of contact for Finance accounting-related SAP S/4HANA FI inquiries, delivering timely support and resolution.
  • Period End Closing – Compliance and Regulations: Oversee and support period-end closing. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
  • Change Management: Support change management initiatives. Facilitate communication and training to ensure a smooth transition to new related SAP S/4HANA FI solutions.
  • Finance accounting Reporting and Analytics: Utilize SAP S/4HANA FI Finance accounting analytics tools to provide insights and support decision-making processes.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on SAP S/4HANA FI Finance accounting modules. GL, AP, AR, BP, Fixed Assets, Banks communication.
  • Technical background and ability to translate the functional requirements to the technical requirements.
  • Ability to understand impact of issue on business and identify suitable solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills within the Finance accounting domain.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage Finance accounting stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Experience of working in the Automotive Industry is a plus.
  • SAP S/4HANA FI certifications in Finance accounting are a plus.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level

Language Skills: Good English language – both verbal and written
