About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Governance Manager to join our team at Lear Corporation. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws that govern our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with internal functional areas to proactively communicate and implement changes to regulations, laws, and decrees.
  • Establish compliance monitoring tools and follow-up processes to identify potential compliance issues and risks.
  • Work with leadership teams and stakeholders to conduct risk assessments, develop compliance program strategies, and establish goals and objectives.
  • Establish a Compliance Regulatory Committee to ensure ongoing review of compliance-related initiatives and risk mitigation actions.
  • Coordinate and establish strategic plans to ensure and monitor compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure the business complies with all federal, state, and municipal regulations.
  • Ensure appropriate internal controls over mandatory regulations, including new requirements published in different pronouncements.
  • Support new projects in Mexico to identify strategies to minimize financial impact and provide insights to achieve planned objectives while ensuring compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Corporate authority to elevate and handle all regulations matters across all plant and central functions.
  • Excellent recordkeeping, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership, proactiveness, and team player.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a must.
  • 5-10 years of experience working in a tax, accounting, finance, audit, or similar and regulations-related position, in-house experience in a multinational organization; and/or experience in a top-tier firm.
