Medical Communications Role Overview


PPD is a leading global contract research organization dedicated to improving health. Our Medical Communications team provides inbound and outbound, post-approval contact center services, supporting clients' business objectives for medical/technical information while maintaining regulatory compliance and high customer service.


As a member of our growing team of over 700 healthcare professionals, you'll deliver medical/technical information to healthcare professionals and consumers. Key responsibilities include:



  • Providing technical and medical information, and/or performing intake of adverse events/product complaints with quality customer service
  • Analyzing and researching inquiries and documenting interactions according to organizational, client, and regulatory guidelines
  • Maintaining thorough knowledge of project and corporate policies and procedures, including client products, SOPs, protocols, GCPs, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Working closely with internal and external client contacts to resolve complex inquiries and researching medical literature to draft responses

Medical Communications Key Responsibilities



  • Respond to medical/technical inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers, providing accurate and concise information
  • Document interactions and maintain records according to organizational, client, and regulatory guidelines
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve complex inquiries and develop training materials
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory guidelines, industry developments, and product information to ensure accurate responses
