Zoolatech is seeking an experienced Android Tech Lead to join our team and lead the design and development of scalable, high-quality Android solutions.

About the Role

We are looking for a technical leader with a deep understanding of Android development, who can collaborate closely with our Principal Engineer to ensure optimal technical decisions for the Android platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining high QA process standards, mentoring and guiding the Android engineering team, and ensuring code quality and enforcing coding standards across the team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop scalable, high-quality Android solutions.
  2. Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to ensure optimal technical decisions for the Android platform.
  3. Establish and maintain high QA process standards.
  4. Mentor and guide the Android engineering team.
  5. Ensure code quality and enforce coding standards across the team.
Requirements
  1. 7+ years of Android development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior technical role.
  2. Strong expertise in Kotlin and Java.
  3. Familiarity with tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, Git, Jenkins (or other CI/CD tools).
  4. Strong problem-solving skills, and experience handling on-call incidents.
  5. Solid understanding of Android app performance, memory management, and optimization techniques.
  6. Familiarity with Google Play release processes.
  7. English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate or higher.
