The Team Leader LATAM will manage a team of 2 reports and be responsible for operations, team management, process improvement projects, and financial accounting activities, including financial reporting in LATAM, general ledger maintenance, financial close, full balance sheet review, tax accounting, and filing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages the team through planning, talent management, and retention.
  • Responsible for R2R process and financial accounting activities.
  • Delivers high-quality customer service in compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), agreed performance indicators, Group internal controls, and Group Policies.
  • Maintains SSC's reputation, excellent relationships with internal clients and Group stakeholders, and sources formal feedback.
  • Identifies areas to maximize effectiveness and efficiency in the process and participates in improvement projects without deteriorating the quality of client delivery.
  • Demonstrates cost responsibility, ensuring the team has the tools, training, and resources to optimize performance in compliance with budget and objectives.
  • Responsible for the overall performance of the team, monitoring their performance, providing timely feedback, and assisting them to improve on their identified training needs.

  • Provides current up-to-date information to help staff solve and/or anticipate problems.

  • Communicates performance expectations and provides direction in a clear and concise manner.

Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of R2R processes through the LATAM region, their associated risks, and mitigating internal controls.
  • Excellent understanding of Operations, Quality management, and SLA frameworks.
  • Understanding of budgetary and resource requirements.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, such as IFRS and internal control principles.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office packages and ERP systems.
  • Travel is expected to be 10-15%.
