Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Materials Coordinator to join our team at Knorr-Bremse. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of materials to our production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and order material quantities within required delivery dates
  • Ensure good receipts according to requested delivery dates
  • Enforce purchasing agreement dates with suppliers
  • Optimize truck loads for inbound deliveries
  • Manage PPAP expected dates with suppliers
  • Coordinate efforts between purchasing, engineering, and quality
  • Collaborate with vendors on related projects
  • Check order confirmations regarding price and delivery date
  • Communicate changes to suppliers and ensure understanding
  • Manage returns to suppliers, debit notes, and parts replacements
  • Maintain the material master according to MRP fields
  • Ensure inventory levels meet agreed-upon targets
  • Monitor inventory levels and expedite material as needed
  • Control inbound premium costs and ensure approval process
  • Evaluate and escalate unsolved backlog issues

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in MRP and ERP systems
  • Procurement exposure to various commodities
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • SAP experience (preferred)
