Maintenance Planner

Eaton is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support labor and capacity in our North America Auto division.

**Job Summary:**

The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance plans to minimize downtime. This includes predictive maintenance, prioritizing maintenance work orders, and assisting cost improvement teams.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Develops and implements maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize service levels.
- Supervises shop floor employees to ensure maintenance work orders receive correct priorities.
- Assists and develops cost improvement teams and drives team participation in 'Find It/Fix It' and other CI programs.
- Works with the Manufacturing and Production Departments to develop, schedule and plan capacity for safe, cost-effective, & efficient execution of master facilities Maintenance Plan.
- Defines key spare parts and quantities needs based on equipment type and conditions.
- Helps identify best suppliers for components and ensures high quality of supply.
- Defines and sets up maintenance areas in plant - including equipment needs, tools, fixtures, and storage methods.
- Leads the development of maintenance skill set needs considering short term and long-term site objectives.
- Adheres to ISO 14001 policies and procedures, ensuring compliance within respective department(s).
- Participates in workplace inspections conducted by the JHSC as defined in company procedure.
- Implements Lean manufacturing at a departmental level through the use of lean tools and philosophies.
- Manages capital and expense spending for maintenance area, ensuring alignment with cost and timing perspectives.
- Develops and deploys TPM Strategy
- Ensures environmental, health and safety requirements and regulations are satisfied when all maintenance projects are implemented

**Requirements:**

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of engineering and/or maintenance experience in manufacturing or operations environment
- Good team facilitation skills and ability to work with internal resources, internal customers, external suppliers, and external customers
- Bi-lingual (Spanish and English)

**Preferred Qualifications:**

Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Strong organizational, conflict resolution, & problem-solving skills
- Lean Tools experience/ Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
- Oracle Knowledge
- Manufacturing Process Knowledge of:

Forging, Machining, Grinding, Heat Treat
- Plating, Welding, Inspection equipment

Estimated salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year.
