Job Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and modeling suite components of products to meet program requirements, ensuring designs meet cost and weight targets.
  • Participating in design reviews during each phase of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
  • Selecting and applying appropriate materials and processes for each element.
  • Ensuring successful integration of each design element within the product, participating in its validation (using methods such as prototyping, testing, and DFMEA).
  • Delivering design solutions within agreed schedules and budgets.
  • Communicating effectively with customers, suppliers, and OEMs throughout the design process.
  • Following and contributing to the development of Best Practice guidelines.
  • Checking engineering packages of work from other designers and offshore teams.
  • Preparing drawings and models for approval.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience and knowledge of Aircraft / Automotive seat design and surfaces.
  • A solid design engineering track record.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD / CATIA / Smarteam.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing methods and design for manufacturing and assembly.
  • BMS Documentation - ECRs / Engineering changes experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
