Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment, and visual inspections of tools and equipment.
  • Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
  • Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
  • Perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing, and electrical components, including lamps, cosmetic items, and extension cords.
  • Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
  • Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including external landscaping sprinklers.
  • Display basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
  • Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
