Job Overview

The Team Leader, Tool Room role is responsible for overseeing the execution of tasks in the assigned area, ensuring seamless collaboration among team members.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate team activities to guarantee flawless execution of tasks.
  • Maintain equipment efficiency and performance through proven maintenance practices.
  • Troubleshoot and repair molds to ensure operational excellence.
  • Install, start up, and shut down equipment following company safety procedures.
  • Record maintenance and performance data for identified equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to uphold world-class standards.
  • Support and educate colleagues on technical matters, promoting a collaborative environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through 5S activities.
  • Engage in long-term planning for significant projects and equipment installations.
  • Define methods for measuring and reducing downtime across business units.
  • Plan and measure overtime for assigned areas.
  • Contact suppliers for quotations on repairs and new technologies.
  • Participate in safety programs and area improvement initiatives.
  • Develop career plans for staff under supervision to support their professional growth.
  • Manage scheduling and expense control for the maintenance area.
  • Adapt to change and implement maintenance plans for molds.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an engineering role, specifically within a tool room environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and technical competence in mold repair and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Experience with long-term planning and project management.
