Your Role in Our Team

The Software Test Engineer will contribute to the test efforts for solutions provided for Toshiba's Point of Sale (POS) clients.

You will be responsible for exploratory testing, manual testing, functional testing, user scenarios review, test case creation, executing test cases, defect creation and tracking, and traceability matrix.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Review custom software design documents and participate in design review discussions.
  • Create test cases from software design documents.
  • Execute test cases, report defects and track defect resolutions.
  • Perform automation/API testing using internal and external tools (Postman, Cucumber, etc.).
  • Maintenance regression software tests.
  • Create documentation for various initiatives including test plans, custom installation procedures, process improvements, etc.
  • Communicate status and identify project risks.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related careers.
  • 6 years of experience in full software development life cycle. Manual testing focused on Software.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control and testing.
  • Experience in analyzing, designing, implementing and troubleshooting software solutions for highly transactional systems.
  • Hands-on testing background.
  • Experience with Agile development methodology.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Linux systems (command line, internals, and build process).
  • Meeting and adhering to programming standards and practices throughout SDLC.
  • Able to follow established guidelines and procedures, and meet deadlines.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Able to learn not standard technologies.
  • Availability to work on site and work with hardware stuff.
