About the Role
New Millennium Joist & Deck De Mexico is seeking a highly skilled Design Supervisor to join our Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design team and ensuring that all designs meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design team and ensure that all designers receive appropriate training and performance feedback.
- Maintain, develop, and communicate design standards and practices to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Communicate regularly with the Engineering Manager and other groups to ensure processes and workflow are aligned.
- Be familiar with internal joist/deck design program to facilitate training, troubleshoot problems, and design projects when necessary.
- Familiarity with Steel Joist Institute and related OSHA requirements to ensure adequate designs are provided by the design team.
Requirements
- Must be willing and able to conduct regular performance reviews for designers, discussing both positive feedback and opportunities for improvement.
- Must be very organized and able to manage time effectively.
- Fluent with MS Excel to assist with reporting, scheduling, and analyzing group performance and other metrics.
- Must be willing and able to effectively schedule work for the designers to meet customer needs and project schedules.
- Proficient in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with internal joist/deck design program.
- Experience in the steel joist industry.
