Job Summary

As a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Novartis, you will play a critical role in supporting the business within a country with complex analysis, reporting, and forecasting. You will work closely with the management team to provide insightful and value-added analysis and decision support.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the operational conversion of business planning strategic goals within a dedicated area of the business
  • Providing management with accurate, relevant business analysis to support monthly operational reviews and ad-hoc requests
  • Performing analysis to evaluate risks or opportunities and making recommendations to mitigate these risks
  • Managing and providing financial analysis and decision-making support for investment or project in a domain
  • Ensuring ongoing business performance is appropriately monitored and measured, and driving early warning for redirection of resources with business partners
  • Providing accurate operational information and advice to support the annual budgeting, rolling forecast, and strategic planning processes
  • Ensuring integrity of data provided by commercial teams and providing value-added recommendations on forecast accuracy improvement
  • Providing well-managed and quality financial analysis to improve business case proposals and profitability tracking
  • Continually improving and streamlining existing management reporting processes and supporting the definition and implementation of lean processes to meet the changing demands of the business
  • Reporting of technical complaints/adverse events/special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt and distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)

Requirements

Chartered accountant or finance degree with 5+ years of experience in finance domain, strong understanding of BPC concepts, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation processes, experience with SAP BPC or similar enterprise planning and consolidation tools is highly desirable, proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, excellent leadership and communication skills, ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization
