Purpose

The Lean Engineer Jr. role at Corning Inc. is focused on driving cost savings and cultural changes by leading core teams and implementing process improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize Lean tools to analyze service metrics and improve performance.
  • Identify process limitations and develop solutions to address them.
  • Develop and implement plans to achieve improvements, with a focus on follow-up and accountability.
  • Apply Lean fundamentals, including Workplace Organization, iKaizen, Gemba Engagement, VSM, Standardized Work, and Visual Performance Metrics.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as a Lean Technician or 6 months as an intern plus 1 year as a Lean Technician.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand and present technical details.
  • Self-motivated individual with a history of delivering positive results through continuous improvement.
