Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Expert to join our team as a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer. This role will be responsible for ensuring that the products produced by Corning suppliers meet the quality standards set by the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage supplier quality performance, conduct supplier audits, and ensure supplier compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify and rectify quality issues using problem-solving techniques, Six Sigma tools, statistical analysis, and other methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance quality, reduce cost, and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with suppliers, train them on quality requirements, and monitor their performance.
  • Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to define process parameters, and ensure that supplier processes meet quality requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation of supplier quality data, audits, non-conformances, corrective actions, and quality tests.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with relevant regulations and standards in their products and processes.
  • Manage projects related to supplier quality, such as new supplier qualifications, process changes, and corrective action implementation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in supplier quality management and supplier development.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and standards.
  • Proficient in quality-related tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, statistical analysis, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP/QMS platforms (SAP, ETQ, SharePoint, Windchill).
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
  • Tl9000/ISO9001 Auditor experience.
Salary

$120,000 - $150,000 per year.
