Fitch Ratings is seeking a highly skilled Structured Finance Specialist to join its team in Mexico.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structured finance, with experience in credit ratings, financial modeling, and analysis. They will be responsible for assigning and reviewing ratings on various structured finance transactions, including ABS and servicer ratings.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of analysts in the rating process, mentoring and coaching them to ensure high-quality credit opinions.
- Analyze transactions to provide accurate and timely credit opinions to investors and market participants.
- Implement default and cash flow modeling, ensuring compliance with Fitch's criteria and models.
- Review transaction legal documents to ensure adherence to Fitch's criteria and models.
- Lead rating committee processes for new and existing transactions and loan servicers, presenting to internal rating committees.
- Produce high-quality internal and external written reports, including credit committees, criteria, special reports, and market commentaries.
- Conduct research projects for Structured Finance Latin America, providing insights and recommendations to the team.
- Represent Fitch's views at industry events, communicating rating rationale to investors and market participants.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, or a business-related field with a focus on finance.
- Previous experience in structured finance/securitization is required.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to coordinate development of dynamically changing performance analytics needs.
- Proven database management and macro-development skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both in English and Spanish.
- Quantitative and analytical thinking, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to actively participate in meetings conducted in English and Spanish, and read and comprehend legal documents.
- Team orientation, with the ability to build relationships both externally and internally.
