You will work with our team of engineers to develop and apply computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods to support product development and virtual test signoff.
The IPTSE 1D/3D CFD section is responsible for analyzing engine airpath, combustion, cooling, fuel, air intake, hot end exhaust, and lubrication systems. Members of the section use various CFD methods to quantify hardware impacts on engine performance, fuel consumption, emissions, NVH, and durability.
Responsibilities include performing 3D thermal/fluid CFD simulations at the system, subsystem, and component levels using commercial CFD software. You will work closely with component and system engineers to provide technical guidance and collaborate on project deliverables.
Key Qualifications:- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- A strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and combustion
- 2+ years minimum experience in thermal/fluid CFD simulation. Multiphysics modeling preferred
- Proficient in common computer languages: Java, Python, shell script, MATLAB, etc.
