Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment and tools
- Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues
- Conduct preventive maintenance on kitchen and mechanical room equipment
- Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
- Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs
- Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in various categories, including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry
- Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repair on equipment, plumbing, and electrical components
- Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
- Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping and external landscaping sprinklers
- Display basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
- Driver's License
