The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary starting at $65,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Capital Projects Coordinator to provide site support for the implementation of capital projects and sustainability initiatives at our iconic Banff Springs Hotel. This role requires a strong understanding of hotel operations, including facilities components and building systems, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onsite refurbishment and infrastructure capital projects
  • Work closely with ownership group and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Assist department heads with planning, approvals, and procurement of Operating and Technology capital projects
  • Maintain effective relationships with various departments in the hotel to facilitate project coordination
  • Represent Fairmont Banff Springs to external contacts in accordance with our mission, vision, values, and Service Promises
  • Create detailed plans for special projects and assignments
  • Review supplied drawings and specifications for operational and physical concerns

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A strong understanding of hotel operations, including all operating departments' core functions
  • Familiarity with facilities components and building systems (HVAC, electrical, building exteriors, etc.)
  • A background in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Civil) and Project Management (PMP) or having a trade certification
  • The ability to work well under pressure and adapt as necessary
  • Highly organized and process-oriented
  • Ability to display and ensure accountability of yourself and others
  • Previous supervisory or leadership qualities demonstrated
