Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team in a Manufacturing Engineer role. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement work cell layouts and line improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
- Develop and maintain mechanical assembly processes, including training and documentation
- Conduct line balancing, takt time, and standard time studies to optimize production flow
- Design and implement work instructions, kaizen events, and total productive maintenance (TPM) programs
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues, including process ECOs and ECNs
- Select and acquire equipment, including kan-ban systems and mechanical devices
- Implement preventative maintenance programs and create manufacturing procedures
- Develop and maintain resistance welding, TIG welding, and electro-mechanical power systems
- Implement pneumatic equipment, tools, and fixture systems
- Develop and maintain mechanical diagnostics and maintenance procedures, including failure analysis and cost reduction
- Conduct job safety analysis and ergonomic assessments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- 4 years of high-level experience in manufacturing or engineering, including lean manufacturing training or certifications
- Fluency in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak)
- Experience with Auto-Cad and business systems
