Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce downtime, and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop improvement plans that support established manufacturing methods, practices, and designs.
- Analyze data to identify gaps in performance and develop strategies to address them.
- Research and analyze design proposals to ensure they meet Design for Manufacturability standards.
- Apply statistical measures to estimate future manufacturing requirements.
- Participate in ECO meetings to ensure smooth implementation of changes.
- Assist Design and Project Engineers, external customers, and manufacturing team members to resolve product-level issues.
- Conduct periodic inspections of various aspects of the manufacturing process.
- Excellent planning and time management skills.
- Specialized professional knowledge of mechanical or industrial engineering principles.
- Working knowledge of Solidworks or equivalent programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated teamwork.
- Technical writing skills sufficient to prepare product specifications, test, and process documentation.
- Ability to problem-solve using statistical analysis and critical thinking skills.
- Hands-on experience with CNC equipment, such as Lathes and Mills, preferred.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and use AutoCAD or equivalent engineering software.
- Demonstrated ability to convert engineering principles into actionable production plans.
- Prior knowledge and practice with Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time, and Total Quality Management.
