Role Overview

Dematic/KION is seeking an SAP ABAP Developer tasked with overseeing the technical development of SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities

To excel in this position, your proven expertise will enable you to deliver on the following:

  • Design and develop SAP objects including OData, CDS views, CE functions, and SQL scripts utilizing Eclipse.
  • Create and manage inbound and outbound interfaces between cloud and on-premises SAP products.
  • Understand various integration adapters in SAP CPI (SFSF, ODATA, SFTP, IDOC, SOAP, HTTP, REST) for effective message exchange.
  • Analyze business and functional requirements while preparing project schedules, tasks, and estimates.
  • Support application development efforts, conduct unit testing, create technical specifications, perform code reviews, and manage transports across SAP systems.
  • Develop technical designs and document specifications, ensuring compliance with the underlying solution architecture.
  • Create test plans and automated scripts to ensure performance quality standards are met, and analyze root causes to provide solutions for production and development issues.
  • Adhere to best practices and ensure that necessary processes and specifications are well documented.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an SAP ECC ABAP Developer, with at least 2 years in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience with at least 2 end-to-end SAP implementations and familiarity with both SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
  • Proficient in Traditional ABAP WRICEFs and experienced with SAP Web IDE, Eclipse IDE, and ADT.
  • Ability to integrate SAP with middleware using IDocs, remote function modules, web services, or ABAP proxies.
  • Experience with Native SQL, CDS, AMDP, ALV on ECC & HANA, Adobe Forms, RF screen programming, CDS views, CE functions, and SQL scripts.
  • Skilled in SQL Trace, SAP runtime analysis, and debugging ABAP Query Info Sets.
  • Knowledgeable in ABAP Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Experience with various data conversions such as JSON to XML, CSV to XML, etc.
  • Familiarity with EDI integrations and API management is preferred.
  • Understanding of implementation project life cycles, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, cut-over, and go-live support.
  • Proficient in using project management tools (e.g., JIRA) and capable of preparing and presenting status reports.
  • Strong communication skills in English (C1/C2 level required).
  • Resume/CV must be submitted in English.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 10%.
