Grinding Machine Technician

Job Summary:
At Esab Welding & Cutting Gmbh, we are seeking a skilled Grinding Machine Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for laying out, fabricating, and assembling metalworking dies, molds, and machine tool fixtures using blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications. This is a challenging role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work with precision tools and instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lay out, fabricate, and assemble metalworking dies, molds, and machine tool fixtures using blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
• Use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure exacting tolerances and dimensions.
• Compute dimensions and determine machining and material requirements.
• Perform precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions, and recommend revisions in design and/or substitutions in material based on machinability or fabrication problems encountered.
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Requirements:

1. Full knowledge of the job and substantial understanding of the job requirements.
2. Ability to apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
3. Assignments are moderately difficult and may require some judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations.
4. Requires general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
5. Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience.
